
Joel Sugarman, M.D.Dr. Sugarman is a Board Certified Dermatologist and member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Sugarman graduated high school from Strath Haven High just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1992. He then completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida graduating Valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science in 1996. He recieved his doctorate from Wake Forest School of Medicine in 2000 and subsequently remained at Wake to complete both an internship in internal medicine and a research fellowship in molecular genetics. His Residency was completed at the University of Missouri hospitals where he was trained in general and cosmetic dermatology with a strong surgical focus on Skin Cancer Management and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. As part of his residency, Dr. Sugarman also performed a substantial amount of patient care at the Harry S. Truman VA hospital in Columbia Missouri. Dr. Sugarman is a third generation physician and is honored to practice medicine in the same community as his father, Daniel I. Sugarman, MD who founded Lake Norman Cardiology (now known as a the Lake Norman division of the Sanger Cardiology Clinic). |
